Bookmark or Share- Schaaf Wood Carving Tools - Woodcarving IllustratedI have been using the Schaaf tools for several years now. I do own Henry Taylor, Ashley Iles, Addis, Marples, Pfeil, and other brands and consider the Schaaf tools among my best. They do require a little TLC but so do most others and sharpening is a basic skill to the craft. Their customer service is first rate.

- Schaaf tools 12 piece set - Woodcarving IllustratedI bought the Schaaf 4-piece fishtail gouge set. I completed the partial conditioning on the fishtails and used them along side my Pfeil fishtail gouges. If done right, the gouges perform at a level very comparable to Pfeil.
