Bookmark or Share- terminology - What forms can a classical composition be? - Music ...For example, Binary, Ternary, Sonata and Rondo forms are all used to some degree from about the Baroque and onward (or longer). What should be realized is that there are many different types of classical music forms, each possibly with their own structural terminology (though there may be some overlap).

It may also be symmetric, for example ABACABA.
