Bookmark or Share- Wow-just picked up a Peavey Databass - TalkBass.comThe ports on most Peavey combos of this era were simply triangular holes cut in the 3/4" baffle, which gives a pretty high tuning. Below the tuning frequency, the speaker is unloaded. The Black Widow speaker had high sensitivity, but not high excursion. 450w + high cab tuning + low excursion = potential for speaker damage.
- Original Peavey Session 400 not the limited : The Steel Guitar ForumCongrats on the sale. This and the original LTD 400 are my favorites of the Peavey pedal steel amps. It's just getting a bit hard to justify the weight and bulk when there are good options for 200+ watt Class D amps in the 3-4 pound range, which can be paired with a really lightweight 12" or 15" high-power speaker cab.
- Peavey 410 TX - TalkBass.comI remember A/Bing the Peavey 410 with the Goliath II in a music store back in the early/mid 90's. I had a couple of experienced ears on hand with me and it was hard to hear a difference between each cab, all listeners agreed. I don't know if we are talking about the same Peavey cab, but the one I played looked exactly like the SWR IIRC.

Sounds pretty good, and a dream to play. Peavey Forum- my only US peavey, I had the one with the singe super ferrite.
- Peavey Millennium BXP 4 , how are they - TalkBass.comVery decent bass and a huge seller for Peavey worldwide. Tuners are of the "Gotoh" variety,not actual Gotohs just look like them.Same tuners Peavey have used for years,one's on my G-bass are getting on for 20 year old and work fine.Standard size pickups if you want to swap.
