Bookmark or Share- Separating honey from wax, best method? - Beesource Beekeeping ForumsWhen trying to separate honey from cappings or crush and strain, I've found that at least a 1/3 or more of the honey remains in the wax after straining has stopped dripping. I then put the remaining wax and honey in a pot in the oven set on its lowest setting and stir regularly until it has just melted. Then let it cool until the wax has fully set.

Probably not a big seller but interesting. There's another study where the bees consumed 10 to 25% less spirulina than real pollen, but were as healthy if not healthier on spirulina.

Once the sugar is dissolved it gets 6 cups of bee-pro. I cant take credit for the ratios, picked them up off of an old post here by Michael Palmer, then scaled it to fit making small batches in the stand mixer.

I blend batches of honey all the time to arrive at the lowest moisture content for the bulk of my honey, it works out pretty much the way I predict. If I have 100 lbs. of 16.5% and a 100 lbs. of 18.5%, the result of the mixing yields 200 lbs. of 17.5%, its not rocket science here.
