"In" and "on": How can I decide which one to use for vehicles?
Examples: In a car, van, etc. On a bus, boat, motorcycle, etc. How can one decide which preposition to use? Is memorization the only way or is there a better way? Note: People generally explain ...
Go for/on a trip - English Language Learners Stack Exchange
I believe that saying 'Go for' something implies that you are more in control of it, while 'go on' is more passive. You can 'go for a bike ride', but you would 'go on a rollercoaster ride'. Unless you are the one driving or flying for your trip, I would use 'go on' as you are just a 'passive' passenger on the trip.
sentence meaning - I will go vs. I am going - English Language Learners ...
I will go and I'm going are different as you have mentioned. And in your example you have used tomorrow which points future, so you are describing an action in present tense( present continuous) on a future time - so the meaning is the same.
The difference between "go to shop" and " go shopping"
As I examine the phrases that use go + gerund, I find that they require a person to go to another location in order to do the action: --go shopping (you have to go to a store) --go fishing (you have to go to a body of water) --go skiing (you have to go to a mountain or ski resort) This is my present take on the subject.
sentence meaning - What does "I gotta go" mean? - English Language ...
"I gotta go" means "I have got to go" (more informal) and "I have to go". Both mean the same. Have (got) to is used to refer to obligations which come from outside the speaker. have (got) to is a requirement. (I am forced to go) should is a suggestion (optional). (I want to go although I may stay)
