Bookmark or Share- 2007 GMC Envoy Denali — Car Forums at Edmunds.comJanuary 2008. I've seen a lot of posts in this forum complaining about the Envoys and very few complimentary posts. I leased my Envoy in Sept. 2007 and have since put about 8,000 miles on it. I'm very happy with it. It's quiet, handles like a sports car, stops on a dime, has plenty of power and the gas milage is good considering how it is driven.

This past weekend after driving my Envoy a few miles it started making this very loud clicking noise in the rear passenger side near the back gate (wheel well area). It isn't as loud on the outside as it is inside but its loud enough that I thought it would wake up the sleeping kids. When the car is off it goes away.

Starting about a year ago, my 2002 Envoy began to idle very roughly when in drive. Once the engine warms up to the normal operating temperature, the rough idle stops. It idles smoothly when in park or neutral, even when it is first started.
