Bookmark or Share- Best Off Road Maps Apps - Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU)I use Gaia GPS (paid subscription) because it is available across devices; plan on the home computer, use on the tablet in the Wrangler. Or, track on tablet and save on home computer. I have recently started using All Trails as a tool to find trails, and descriptions then download the GPX for use in Gaia GPS.
- Trails Off Road vs. Gaia GPS - JLwranglerforums.comI currently use both OnX and GAIA. Here's my assessment (and why I will be switching one of these to Trails Offroad soon here) GAIA - This is the overlanding App. The overlays are amazing, and you can very easily plan out a route with waypoints. This app also works almost seamlessly with Android Auto, and looks great on the vehicle screen.
- iPad for GPS???? - JLwranglerforums.comI bought an iPad to specifically use for GPS and used the GAIA GPS app to find trails and dispersed camping areas not covered by Google or other services. While the GPS antennae worked with no cell service, the app could not load new map tiles without that cell connection. So I had to pre-download maps using the app for places I know I would be.
