Bookmark or Share- Add barcodes to labels - Microsoft SupportWord no longer has a built-in barcode tool. However you can generate barcodes using two field codes, DisplayBarcode and MergeBarcode. These field codes support 10 types of barcodes, including UPC, Code 39, and Code 128.
- Insert footnotes and endnotes - Microsoft SupportClick or tap within your document content where you want to reference a footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. Note the newly created footnote, at the bottom of the current page or endnote, at the end of the document. Enter what you want in the footnote or endnote.
- Field codes: DisplayBarcode - Microsoft SupportDisplayBarcode is used to insert a standard bar code into a document. It supports 10 different types of barcode. Depending on the one you choose, the barcode type accepts alphanumeric data of different formats and lengths. As a field code, you can right-click and choose Toggle field codes to go between the code and the barcode image.
- Field codes: MergeBarcode - Microsoft SupportThe main difference is that MergeBarcode generates a DisplayBarcode field based on the merge result instead of showing it directly. The syntax and supported switches is also different. The use of field-argument-1 is the same as the data field in the MergeField field. { MergeBarcode field-argument-1 field-argument-2 [ switches ] }
