look at the individual universities’ polices…I went to a few CCs, studied aboad and had my undergrad gpa also and i was told to average them all together (keeping in mind how many units each class was worth, of course, and whether the units were semester or quarter)…usually schools ask for two GPA’s your major GPA and your cumulative (which is everything including CC classes).
- Are the GPA of courses taken at a community college factored into your ...So if I took a class at a community college and got a 4.0 GPA, and my high school GPA is 4.2, the college course would actually bring my overall GPA down?
Wait… do colleges only take your High school GPA into account (for comparison purposes) or do they combine community college courses with your high school GPA to determine an overall ...
- Do dual enrollment credits count toward college GPA?
In fact, even if you actually went to college, took courses and transfered, the grades would not count to your GPA for the vast majority of schools. The courses may count as prereqs, the credits might count for graduation, but the grades wouldn’t.
- Does AP credit count toward your college GPA?
Mostly when get credit hours for things such as AP or CLEP they are not given any grade and there is no affect on the GPA. So for instance if you have 6 AP credit hours and 40 credit hours of work completed at the college the GPA would be based on your total grades divided by 40 hours (not by the 46 credit hours on your transcript).
