- The "new" Power Blue | Clay, Trap, Skeet Shooting ForumI’m running low on cartridges only 1500 left of old power blues, but with all the negative comments about the newer ones it’s left me wondering why express decided to alter/change something that had a pretty good reputation for something that sucks. Now I’m undecided what to buy that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
- Cartridge for new shooter - Clay, Trap, Skeet Shooting ForumPower Blue are IMHO quite thumpy . I won’t use them . At your stage of the game just shoot the lowest cost club cartridges 28gm 7.5 or 8 . Eley First are nice shoot all day long cartridges , I use Eley Olympic blues 7.5 for everything , both are cheaper than Power Blue
- Another price increase for cartridges at end of JanuaryI will say as someone who couldnt stand shooting 28g cartridges due to the frankly obnoxious recoil (Pro Ones, Pro Fibre, Sovereigns, Power Gold, Power Blue, English Sporting) I sort of stuck with 24g and was pretty much contempt, but i did always have the worry of being handicapped.
- I should know better than to ask! - Clay, Trap, Skeet Shooting ForumI’ve come round to Eley Olympic Blues in 7.5 as being a perfect budget all rounder . My preferred stockist only keeps Eley and Express , and I prefer the Oly blue to Express Power Blue which is a similar price, but kicks a bit more . I shoot both plastic and fibre as grounds dictate .
