Housing’s renaissance could lead an economic recovery

A housing renaissance has begun. This may be hard to believe after the dizzying, six-year-long crash in home sales, construction and house prices. But housing turned the corner last year, and it will take off in 2013.

 

Gallup: U.S. Unadjusted Unemployment Down to 7.0% in October

U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, fell to 7.0% for the month of October, down significantly from the 7.9% measured at the end of September. Gallup's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 7.4%, improved more than a half a point from September.

 

US employers posted fewer open jobs in July

U.S. employers posted fewer jobs in July than in June, the latest evidence that hiring is weak.
