A routine Colorado traffic stop led to the discovery of 220 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $10 million in the rental car of a California couple, police said on Monday.

Two West Memphis police officers were fatally shot during a traffic stop, and two men suspected in the shooting were killed after a manhunt, according to media reports.

A fourth Oakland police officer who was critically wounded after being shot by a man wanted on a parole violation has been taken off life support, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Three officers and a suspect are dead and another officer is in grave condition after related shootings, the police said.
