Last week, Sylvester Stallone told Empire his planned Rambo 5 was dead. Well, he was "99% sure" it was. Even then, I couldn't help but think that 1% shot could rear its head – knowing Sly.

We're not sure what has happened since last November (see here , here and here ), but now Sylvester Stallone tells Empire magazine that another "Rambo" movie isn't happening after all.

You can't keep a overextended franchise down. The quintessential mulleted badass is back, with Sylvester Stallone officially getting the green light for a fifth Rambo.

Mickey Rourke's post-Oscar nomination dance card is filling up fast, including a turn in director Sylvester Stallone's next film The Expendables. Now the British tabloids are suggesting that Rourke and Stallone may reunite for the fifth installment in one of the latter's most popular franchises.

Sylvester Stallone, who is preparing to shoot action-adventure The Expendables, told Extra that he's planning to play John Rambo again.
