Nicaragua Detains US Most-Wanted Suspect

Police in Nicaragua have detained one of the FBI's ten most-wanted fugitives, child-porn suspect Eric Justin Toth. The head of detectives for Nicaragua's National Police force says Toth was detained near the Honduran border. Glenda Zavala said Monday that Toth had been detained Saturday, based on an international detention request. The former Washington D.C. elementary school teacher faces accusations he possessed and produced child pornography. He lost his teaching job in 2008 after another teacher found images of child pornography on a school camera in Toth's possession.

 

2nd arrest in alleged rape of 5-year-old

Indian police have arrested a second man in connection with the alleged rape of a 5-year-old girl in New Delhi, a police spokesman said Monday. The second suspect is accused of being an accomplice in the case, which has prompted protests in the streets of New Delhi. He is being transferred to New Delhi from Bihar state in eastern India for questioning and DNA tests, said Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat.

 

More Attacks Planned: Huge Cache Of Weapons, Unexploded Bombs Found In Suspects' Possession

As churches paused to mourn the dead and console the survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing Sunday, the city's police commissioner said the two suspects had such a large cache of weapons that they were probably planning other attacks. The surviving suspect remained hospitalized and unable to speak with a gunshot wound to the throat.

With the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing still at large early Friday morning, Gov. Deval Patrick ordered everyone in the city to stay home. "There is a massive manhunt underway," he said at a morning press conference, calling it a "rapidly developing situation." Police Col. Timothy P. Alben added, "It may take hours."
