Endurance swimmer Diana Nyad suspended her latest attempt to swim from Florida to Cuba early Tuesday, after being hampered by more jellyfish stings and strong overnight storms. Angie Sollinger, a senior member of Nyad’s support team, told NBC producer Matt German that Nyad has been pulled out of the water suffering from extreme exhaustion.

Citing a poll conducted by Global Strategy Group and Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group in the battleground states of Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Florida, Priorities USA claimed that more voters say Romney’s experience at Bain makes them less likely to vote for him, 37% to 27%. Claiming that its own anti-Bain ads are working, Priorities USA pointed out that in the 11 markets they’ve advertised in within those five states, Obama leads Romney by eight points (49% to 41%) compared with a three-point lead in those without the ads (46% to 43%).

Girl survives 4-story fall from Florida hotel balcony

Authorities say a young New York girl survived a four-story fall from a Florida hotel balcony. Orange County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Ginette Rodriguez says the girl was not seriously injured when she landed Saturday night in some bushes at the Marriott Grande Vista hotel in Orlando.
