Oregon's incredible offense busted up Wisconsin and the record books on the way to the Ducks' first Rose Bowl victory in 95 years. Darron Thomas passed for three touchdowns, De'Anthony Thomas scored on runs of 91 and 64 yards, and the No. 6 Ducks earned their first bowl victory under coach Chip Kelly, holding off Wisconsin 45-38 Monday night in the highest-scoring Rose Bowl ever played.

It was amazing the Baylor quarterback had any breath left at all. Not after a record-shattering Alamo Bowl that might not only be remembered as the highest-scoring regulation bowl game in history, but also possibly as Griffin's last addition to his legacy in Waco.

A University of Oregon study says alcohol consumption and celebrating increased and studying decreased when a team fared well, resulting in lower grade-point averages.

A central Pennsylvania college says former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky was denied a volunteer coaching position last year because a background check revealed a high school was investigating him on sex abuse allegations later detailed by a grand jury.

The man who filed the first sex-abuse lawsuit against ex-Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky says he feels tormented after learning others were allegedly abused after him. The 29-year-old writes in a statement: “I am hurting and have been for a long because of what happened, but feel now even more tormented that I have learned of so many other kids.”
