At the annual Arnold Sports Festival held in Columbus, Ohio, cast member Randy Couture confirms that “Expendables 4” will indeed be shooting this fall.
Like I said in my previous article about the film's funding, Variety did report in October 2015 that production on the fourth entry to the action franchise will start this year, targeting a 2017 release.More | Talk | Read It Later | Share
Donnie Yen was promoting “Ip Man 3” as his last martial arts film, but when it broke box office records late last year in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore (and pulling in strong numbers in neighboring regions) before it opened in China, he told netizens during an IMDB Q&A that a fourth installment is “very likely.”

Of the three new wide releases this weekend, horror film “The Boy” ended up being the big winner, grossing $10.8M at the box office.
The other two releases were raunchy comedy “Dirty Grandpa” and YA thriller “The 5th Wave.” Both films pulled in similar numbers, $11M and $10.3M respectively.
Donnie Yen did a q/a with IMDB on Twitter to promote the January 22nd release of “Ip Man 3” in the U.S.
When asked by fans about the likelihood of an “Ip Man 4,” he responded encouragingly with “very likely.” I’ve read a similar sentiment from the producer as well.
Now that “Ip Man 3,” the only force strong enough in the universe to withstand “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at the box office, is officially opening in China on March 4th, the local distributor is rolling out new character posters with the new date (check them out below).

I wasn’t expecting much from “The Transporter Refueled.” What’s a “Transporter” movie without Jason Statham? Not much, I thought.
I was biased because I like Statham in those films. Although after three of them, I wasn’t asking for another one, but still, if he cranks out more of them, I wouldn’t mind watching.More | Talk | Read It Later | Share
The first “Cars,” directed by Pixar head John Lasseter and released in 2006, disappointed critics with a 74% score on Rotten Tomatoes; reviewers (and audiences for that matter) were accustomed to near perfect films that lie in the 90% range from the revered animation studio, even though 74% is a solid grade.

“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny,” the sequel to Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning 2000 film, opened in China over the weekend and pulled in $21.3M. Compared to the recording-breaking numbers that Stephen Chow’s “The Mermaid” has amassed in the last couple of weeks -- $42M on opening day and $420M since -- this doesn’t sound like much.More | Talk | Read It Later | Share

After “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” broke the all-time box office record previously held by James Cameron’s “Avatar,” Disney no longer fears “Avatar 2.”
The studio has decided to move the release date for “Star Wars 8” from May 26, 2017 to December 15, 2017, just a week before James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel to “Avatar.”
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has already grossed $861M domestically, breaking the previous record of $760M set by “Avatar” in 2009.
Here we go again. Personally, I like Ricky Gervais's previous work on the Golden Globes, so I'm glad he's back. Because of him, I'm actually looking forward to the show.More | Talk | Read It Later | Share

There’s not much more that we can say about “The Revenant” or “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Sure, these two films supplanted the previous weekend’s top film “Ride Along 2,” which experienced a typical 60%-plus drop-off for a film targeted at the African-American audience.
