"X-Men" director Bryan Singer's next project, "Jack the Giant Killer", has been given the green light at New Line Cinema reports Deadline. Though no offer is officially out yet, "Kick Ass" star Aaron Johnson is apparently being pursued for the lead role, though the studio is looking at a range of other younger actors as well. Singer will direct from a script originally penned by Darren Lemke and Mark Bomback which Christopher McQuarrie recently re-wrote. Described as a more adult approach to the Jack and the Beanstalk legend.
