CITY OF NEWBURGH – Instead of losing the food stored in freezers and refrigerators inside her electricity-less restaurant, Caffe Macciato owner Jodi Cummings has decided to gift it to the City of Newburgh.With no hard timetable for when Central Hudson will restore power for Newburgh businesses and residents with outages, Cummings was preparing to empty her restaurant of meats, seafood and cheeses and give them away to the community rather than see them wasted.
