RENSSELAER — New York state is expected to have enough electricity to meet peak demand conditions this summer.The New York Independent System Operator— or NYISO — says the more than 42,000 megawatts of power available should be adequate. NYISO forecasts that peak demand will be just below 33,000 megawatts.Demand on New York's electric system peaks in the summer as people turn on their air conditioners.
