New York Air Guard Unit Competing In Parachute Competition

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Two New York Army National Guard helicopters are in Rhode Island this weekend for the largest international military parachute competition in the world. Eleven soldiers from 126th Aviation in Rochester will spend four to six hours on Saturday in their CH-47F Chinook helicopters. They'll take turns dropping paratroopers over a drop zone at Quonset Air National Guard Base.
