NEW WINDSOR – The town began introducing water from the Catskill Aqueduct into its distribution system Wednesday after reactivating its Riley Road filtration plant.The town is switching to aqueduct water because of the discovery of low levels of PFOS and PFOA in its Butterhill wells.The transition from the Butterhill wells to the aqueduct will be gradual as production at Riley Road increases while production at Butterhill decreases.
