A Friday night shooting on East Colfax Avenue in Aurora left one man dead, police said.
About 8:45 p.m. Friday, Aurora officers responded to reports of a shooting at a business near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Helena Street, according to a news release from the police department. The intersection is home to a liquor store, a grocery store and multiple fast-food restaurants and is close to the Whispering Pines apartments.
When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds, according to the release.

Colorado will see its first “substantial” snowfall of the season on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Just two weeks ago, NWS meteorologists confirmed the first dusting of snow on Colorado’s mountains. This weekend, forecasters said the state’s north-central peaks could see between four and nine inches of fresh snow.
