TRENTON, N.J. — Unionized public workers gathered in the state capital Thursday to protest and try to halt legislation, up for a committee hearing and likely vote, that would require New Jersey government employees to shoulder a larger share of their health insurance premiums and remove the issue from collective bargaining.Traffic into Trenton was backed up for miles Thursday morning as members of the state teachers union, police and firefighters, CWA and AFL-CIO made their way to the Statehouse.Read More...
