iPod Options to output iPod Classic music to car speakers? The only way to properly connect the iPod Classic is to hook it up to USB in the car. Does not need to have CarPlay, most cars are compatible with the iPod itself and show the playlists, artists, albums, songs etc views. iPod touch iPod Touch DFU mode unrecognized in iTunes I had exact same issue with an iPod Touch 4th Gen that I was trying to restore and was stuck in a "in DFU then not in DFU" loop in iTunes. Loading an older version of iTunes (11.1.2) on another machine allowed me to recover the iPod. On regular iPods, it is very easy to fastforward and rewind songs and podcasts; you just click the center button and then scroll forwards or backwards. This is very useful, especially when listening to an hour-plus podcast and you need to move around inside it.
