NEW FAIRFIELD — A Guatemalan immigrant who is married to a U.S. citizen and has two American-born children faces deportation next month, despite years of effort to obtain legal status. Colindrés said a mix-up with paperwork made him miss a court date more than a decade ago, ultimately resulting in an order for his removal, which in turn created a barrier to his getting legal status.
