New Colorado Springs Sales Tax To Improve Major Roads Will Free Money To Maintain Others

The unheralded benefit of a new city sales tax to improve major roads is that it will free more money from other funds to tackle neighborhood streets, the new 2C Advisory Committee learned in its first meeting Monday. "This is adding to the cumulative effect," said Jim Godfrey, of the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) citizen advisory committee.
