Stockton is like a Victorian novel, the one about the madwoman in the attic.Though one of the most racially diverse and integrated cities in the United States, economically and politically Stockton is — I won’t say segregated — divided into two camps.Disadvantaged Stockton beefs that its priorities are ignored; that poorer citizens are, so to speak, locked away in dangerous, neglected neighborhoods by more affluent, white-collar voters.
