And this time they're not coming to Augusta National Golf Club to protest, but to tee it up.Fred Ridley, Masters Tournament chairman, announced Wednesday that the club will host the Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship next spring with the Saturday final on April 6, the week before the Masters.It was 15 years ago that Martha Burk, head of the National Council of Women's Organizations at the time, led a protest against the club for its refusal to admit female members.
