Ohio’s heroin epidemic is consuming lives at such a staggering rate that officials and medical professionals alike are taking a new approach to solve it.Parents of Prodigals held a seminar this week at Christ Community Chapel in Hudson to give more information on Narcan, or naloxone, a medication that can reverse an overdose that is caused by heroin and other opioid drugs.The medication in the kits, which is administered through a nose spray, blocks the effects of opioids on the brain and restores breathing.
