The mother and grandmother of 16-year-old Andrew Frye stood in court Wednesday bound together by shackles linking their arms. Heather Frye was more emotional than her mother, Brenda, clutching a worn tissue and frequently wiping away tears. Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Lynne Callahan sentenced mother and daughter each to nine years in prison for the roll they played in Andrew Frye’s heroin overdose death, saying she held them equally responsible.
