CENTRAL VALLEY - Assemblyman James Skoufis said Friday that he has secured $1 million in state aid for the Monroe-Woodbury School District to improve its sports fields and make up for property taxes it will lose by ceding 220 acres to the Kiryas Joel School District.The Woodbury Democrat had sought the funding as a condition for supporting a one-year acceleration of the formation of a new town that will separate Kiryas Joel from the Town of Monroe.
