Beatriz Palmer, a longtime MiraCosta College employee, was named a 2016 Community Champion in honor of her community work and philanthropy. Palmer was one of five unsung heroes across the country to be given the award by Fortune 500 company Molina Healthcare, headquartered in Long Beach.
