WASHINGTON (AP) — Control of Congress is at stake Tuesday, with ever-tight races for the House and Senate that will determine which party holds the majority and the power to boost or block a president’s agenda, or if the White House confronts a divided Capitol Hill.

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Having a roster loaded with newcomers, Colorado women’s basketball coach JR Payne has had no idea who would have the ability to step up in crunch time.
Payne and the Buffs might have got an answer on opening night.
Senior Lior Garzon scored a game-high 20 points in lifting CU to a 56-50 win against Wyoming at Arena-Auditorium.
Garzon, a transfer from Oklahoma State, hit a long jumper with 42 seconds to play to bump the lead to four points, and then went 3-for-4 at the free throw line in the final 33 seconds to cap the 900th victory in program history.
“The great thing about it, Lior is totally unafraid of it,” Payne said.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The nation’s federal law enforcement and election security agencies are debunking two new examples of Russian election disinformation on the eve of Election Day, highlighting attempts by foreign actors to sow doubt in the U. S. voting process and warning that the efforts run the risk of inciting violence against election officials.

One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to the Denver Police Department.
Police initially reported a single-vehicle fatal crash in the 11000 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 3:41 a.m. Sunday.
But on Monday, DPD officials said the crash involved two vehicles, that the driver who caused the crash fled on foot and a passenger in that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
