MIDWEST CITY — Kathy Elliote had a close encounter with lightning Wednesday night.When Midwest City came under a tornado warning, she and her family took cover in a closet of their home at 9101 Indian Creek Drive until radio reports indicated it was safe. Shortly after they got out, the sky lit up."My sister and I were at the front door, we were looking outside the window and he (her father) told us to get away from it.
