Jacksonville City Council member John Crescimbeni has filed legislation to require anyone hired by the city to live in Duval County. That requirement would take effect Jan. 1, 2016, so people already working for the city would be “grandfathered in” without having to establish residency. People living outside the county would be given six months to establish a permanent Duval home.
