Once upon a time, about 40 years ago, catching a glimpse of Canada geese in the wild in Michigan was a rather rare slight, an experience to be treasured.Fast forward to 2018 and an explosion in population, and Canada geese are generally considered a nuisance. Rather than a rarity, they are omnipresent, overtaking the habitat of other native wildlife, all the while leaving black smelly presents on the ground, a reminder of their overwhelming numbers.
