BAILEY — A memorial service for the sheriff's deputy shot and killed while trying to evict a man from his home near Bailey will be held March 14 in suburban Denver. Thirty-five-year-old Cpl. Nate Carrigan will be honored at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada during a service starting at 11 a.m. A homeowner who had ranted against police brutality in the past opened fire on deputies Wednesday, killing Carrigan and wounding two others. The Park County Sheriff's Office says the deputy still in the hospital, Master Patrol Deputy Kolby Martin, has been moved out of intensive care.
