When Ron Krupp of Lisle went into cardiac arrest Dec. 7 while giving a eulogy at a funeral service at the Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry, his quick-acting son and two nurses successfully used CPR and an AED to save his life. “The first shock brought him back to life,” Fire Chief Tony Huemann said. For their heroic actions, Huemann recognized the Huntley Hospital nurses, Debbie Waterson and Gazette Deluz, and Krupp’s family who acted swiftly to save Krupp’s life at the McHenry Township Fire Protection District Board of Trustees meeting Thursday evening.
