Members of the McHenry High School Foundation Committee are accepting nominations for the McHenry High School Distinguished Graduate, a recognition of McHenry High School alumni who have excelled in career achievements, humanitarian work and community service, among other things. To be considered for the award, nominees must be graduates of McHenry High School District 156 for at least 15 years. Criteria used to determine who is a distinguished graduate include having a wide sphere of influence, making a positive effect on the community, overcoming difficulties to reach goals, serving humanity and inspiring others. The graduates who are selected for this award will be invited to attend the annual Senior Honors Night, which will be hosted during the spring. The distinguished graduate’s picture and list of his or her accomplishments will be prominently displayed in a hall of each school, along with those of the distinguished graduates from prior years.
