IOWA CITY — The City of Iowa City was faced with many challenges and opportunities in 2020, which were outlined by Mayor Bruce Teague Monday night in his State of the City address.In his address, Teague noted the various ways in which the city responded to a historic pandemic, demands to address systemic racism, a derecho and other issues.“We have a lot to be proud of in our city — the greatest in the world — Iowa City,” Teague said, concluding his address.Teague noted when he became mayor a little more than a year ago, he had no idea the challenges he would face.
