Mass. Town Dedicates New World War I Monument

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — The central Massachusetts town of Shrewsbury has dedicated a new memorial to eight local men who died 95 years ago in World War I.The Telegram & Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1alpRHw) more than 250 people attended Monday's dedication. The granite monument and flagpole replace a crumbling memorial dedicated in 1924 to honor a local doctor killed serving on the Western Front in 1918.
