A man who shot at police in 2014 was sentenced Friday to 22 years in prison, court records show. Chester Dean III, 62, pleaded guilty June 24 to attempted murder with extreme indifference. In May 2014, the former American Legion chaplain began shooting at witnesses when Officer Allison Detwiler walked toward Dean's house on a call that he was suicidal.
