DURANGO — A man who was discovered in the Animas River in southwest Colorado on Thursday and later died has been identified. Authorities say that the man was 26-year-old Rayford Begaye of Grants, New Mexico. La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith says it's not clear why the man went into the river near a grocery store.
