Man Struck By Beam In Danbury

DANBURY — A construction worker was struck by a beam Tuesday afternoon on Cedar Drive, according to the Danbury Fire Department. The accident happened outside a home under construction by Candlewood Lake about 2:40 p.m., Assistant Fire Chief Omasta said. The victim was extricated, but was still unconscious as he was taken to Danbury Hospital, Omasta said.
