A man was struck and killed while trying to cross the street Saturday night at Beach Boulevard and Desalvo Road on Jacksonville’s Southside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police didn’t release the name of the victim or the driver, who officers said immediately stopped and was cooperating with investigators. The collision happened about 8:30 p.m.
