A man reported to be holding a rifle was shot by police Tuesday, Colorado Springs police said. The man was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not known, said Sgt. Mark DeVorss. No officers were injured in the shooting, which happened while police were responding to a call of a man holding a rifle and threatening people. The officer-involved shooting took place on the 5100 block of Lanagan Street, near Flying W Ranch Road in northwest Colorado Springs, DeVorss said.
