A man died Saturday after a paddleboarding accident on Carter Lake Reservoir west of Berthoud, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency crews responded to the reservoir 9 miles west of Berthoud around 2:15 p.m. after someone called 911 about a man falling off his paddleboard into the water and not surfacing, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Sunday. Emergency crews searched the area where he was last seen before finding the man in the water at 3:50 p.m.
