A 40-year-old Colorado Springs man was arrested Monday on suspicion of stealing money from a Fountain Safeway one month ago in an employee-only area of the store, Fountain police said in a news release. Benjamin Eugene Archer is accused of second-degree burglary for taking cash July 30 from the store at 6925 Mesa Ridge Parkway, police said. "Investigators learned that one individual had entered an area off limits to customers and stole an undisclosed amount of cash," police said in the release. Police did not release any further details of the burglary. Police received an anonymous tip from the public that led to his arrest. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
