Stories Related to Man Accused Of Stabbing Mother In Vancouver Appears In Court

Brian C. Toombs, 28, appeared Monday morning in Clark County Superior Court to face a charge of first-degree attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his mother Friday night in the Wildwood neighborhood of Vancouver. Judge John Fairgrieve set Brian Toombs’ bail at $500,000. Toombs was arrested on the night alleged of the stabbing. Shortly before 5 p.m., Brian Toombs called 911 to report that his mother tried to attack him so he stabbed her with scissors, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
